Also doable with Elementalists for those without 55 monks. No extra equipment required (barring a 20% enchantment stave) and an average hp bar will do.
Earth Magic 8+1+3
E storage 7+1
Healing Prayers 8
Smiting Prayers12
Signet of Mystic Wrath
Reversal of Damage
Restful Breeze
GoLE
Shield of Judgement
Stoneflesh Aura
Kinetic Armour
Watchful spirit
This will basically take you up to The Black Curtain. Upon entering which you will find the opposition somewhat hard to kill.
The Signet is for moving things along faster (an easy 200 damage) also saves you from re-using SoJ on the mob left overs. Reversal of Damage is for keeping Kinetic alive (and avoiding spike damage from Desecrate Enchantments). Restful Breeze is far better than Breeze for this build surprisingly. Watchful spirit is there to counter degen. In all honest it's a free slot. Don't need energy management here (again a surprise) so no Essence Bond or Balthazar's, but there is a lot of degen here (Mesmers, Rangers, Hell hounds).
Your only real danger here is the Necrid Horsemen. They use Desecrate which hurts if left unchecked. Kill them as the top priority. Second is the Worlock's. Not much trouble on a good day, but they can stick Death Nova on their minions so you gotta be careful. Also stay away from mobs with monks. Takes way too long to be worth the trouble. That's about it. Have fun. It's easier with a 55 monk but we aren't all so fond of them .

About the most keepable Sephis I've had drop for me was a Req. 10, 15%/-10AL, 20/20 Sunder. So I slapped a +5AL grip on it to make it a +15%/-5AL bonus now, lol.

I think alot of the people farming these are people, like myself, who always wanted one, but refused to pay so much money for one. I agree though, the introduction of hard mode has made Sephis Axes, Dead Bows, and Dead Swords rarity wane a little bit.

Dead Sword prices dropped way before Hard Mode, when someone leaked the quest to farm them. The introduction of Hard Mode has made every farmable item lose it's rarity.

The market for Sephis Axes and Dead Bows will definately drop, but I personally love the dead bow skil regardless of rarity (Nundak's Recurve is still my current fav bow) and am farming largely for personal acquisition. Of course getting farther on my Wisdom Title and picking up lots of other stuff such as Cupcakes along the way is always nice too.

Yeah, a mod for the farming part of the forums believes in secrecy of farming spots.
